Carol I. Pickles, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Harold E. “Ed” Pickles, Jr., with whom she shared 54 years of faith, family, love, and life. She embraced life with unequaled poise and dignity.
Born March 31, 1945, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Irene and Ed Ross and the first of five daughters. She was a 1963 graduate of North Side High School, where she earned recognition for exceptional academic achievement.
Carol was a devoted wife to Ed and loving mother to her children Trent, Tiffany, and Troy. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Tiffany, in 1964, a loss she carried with quiet grace. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Ed Ross, and her sister Susie Frye.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ed; her sons, Trent Wall (Rene) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Troy Wall (Brenda) of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sisters Jeanne Kuczyk, Donna Krebs, and Sharon Ross.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Scout Conference Center, 2300 Meyer Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46803.
