CHURUBUSCO — Connie (Foster-Sharp) Leffers, 72, of Churubusco, passed away at 11:54 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
Born on August 2, 1945, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of John and Betty (Hambrock) Sharp. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Northside High School.
Connie was married on April 11, 1966, in Ege to Charles Leffers. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2010. The couple lived in Fort Wayne for a short time before settling in rural Churubusco. The couple also lived in Bamberg, Germany, while Charles served in the military.
She was a member of the St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
Connie is survived by two daughters, Tammy Diller of Fort Wayne and Teresa (Joe) Till of Churubusco; two sons, Joe (Trina) Leffers, of LaOtto, and Joshua Leffers, of Churubusco; a sister, Sylvia (Albert) Allen; four grandchildren, Jesse (Brandon) Burget, Wyatt Diller, Isabelle Leffers and Ian Leffers; and a great granddaughter, Kayleen Burget.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by a sister Barbara Schneider.
Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Calling is also one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Friday, March 2, 2018.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Arcola.
Memorials may be directed to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
