NANCY A. SCHMIDT, 75, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. Born June 26, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Ray and Bernadine Rice. She had been a member of Emmaus Lutheran for many years. She had a passion for painting, traveling to Alaska and Europe, and playing board games. Nancy is survived by her husband of 53 years, William "Bill" Schmidt; son, Eric Schmidt; and grandchildren, Micayla Alexis Schmidt and Christian William Schmidt. Also preceding her in passing was her brothers, Don and Ed Teeters. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021, D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne (IN 46807), with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 West Main St., Fort Wayne (IN 46808).
