Joe was my date for the senior prom. I remember him as a kind and promising young man. We lost him way too soon when he was tragically killed in a car accident during his sophomore year at Purdue. To this day I remember him with great fondness.

Joe was such a good friend.  I sat beside Joe in Homeroom every year and we had so many laughs together.  The world would have been better with him in it.  It still makes me sad to think of all he missed.

Joe sat beside me for twelve years through grade school and high school. He was a sweet guy and a great friend. Helen Hallien Esterline Laws

Leonard J. (Len) Bonner

Joe and I were neighbors and spent a lot of time together starting at age 6. We played sports together, and as we got older, we spent a lot of time talking about current events and of course, girls. Joe's death was shocking and unneccesary. Joe was such a good guy and had so much to offer this world we live in.

If I'm lucky, I'll see Joe again in the afterlife!

Thanks for being my friend, Len Bonner

Joe and I lived in the same neighborhood. I got to know him in junior high when he and Len used to ride their bikes to my house on summer evenings. I remained friends with him until his untimely death. He was always cheerful and kind--a true gentleman.
