Dana Failor

Obituary: Dana R. Failor, age 75, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.  He was born on May 18, 1945 in Fort Wayne to the late Richard G. and Betty J. (Jefferies) Failor. Dana graduated from North Side High School where he was a track star.  He attended college for a year and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a radar operator and then an M.P. on the U.S.S Ranger.
Survivors include;
Son, Scott T. Failor.
Step daughter, Karen Macki.
Step daughter, Susan Gilles.
3 Grandchildren, Thomas E. Failor, Christein Lee Nicher and Victoria L. Failor, and 3 Step grandchildren.
Sister, Karen Bennett.
Dana was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Alexander Failor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
The family has recommended that anyone attending the services to please wear a mask.

Dana and I were close freinds in High School and that relationship lasted thru the years till I lost contact with him in 2019. Unlike myself Dana was an excellent athlete and often spoke fondly of those days at NSHS.

 I certainly miss my freind.
